as context, my speakers on the headset still work, its clearly not the actual headset itself as the problem. ive tried going to deivce manager and reinstalling the device but it still doesnt pick up sound. i will add that it does recognise that a mic has been put in, it just doesnt pick up any sound. ALSO, when i try and configure the mic it says "make sure your audio hardware is working properly and check your audio configuration"

Did you try Uninstalling (not deleting) the Realtek High Definition Audio Driver before reinstalling the latest Realtek Audio Driver?

The latest Realtek Audio Driver is Version 6.0.1.8382, released by ASUS on 2018/04/12:

Test to make sure your microphone level is high enough and that it isn't muted:

it used to work. its only since i moved to my ssd that it has stopped. is there something im missing when i move to a new drive?

I have tried fully deleting the drivers and then reinstalling them. Still comes up saying theres a problem with my audio. And for more context, i cloned my hdd to my ssd, and suddenly my mic doesnt pick up. my sound works, but my mic doesnt. ive tried several mics.
