Installed a Windows update and now have audio issues

Hi,

I recently updated my O.S. After the installation everything is were it was, but my audio (from my soundcard) doesn't work.

I made sure it was the default for my playback options, I checked for driver updates, I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, and it's still not working. By not working, I mean my headphones and speakers will not work with it. My headphones will work with my motherboard's sound card though, so thankfully that's still fine.

I'd like to know if there's something else I haven't considered that might fix this issue. Oh, and I've considered using the "go back to a previous build" option in Settings, but I'm not sure what that means. Does that mean going back before the update? Because I've never had any O.S. other than Windows 10 on this computer. Also, it says that I might have to reinstall programs, which I am very much not interested in doing.

So, to summarize... can someone please tell me if there's a way to get my sound back? or, if not, do you think that in the future Windows will put out a update that will fix this issue?

Thank you

Note: My computer has multiple drives for storing media/games. I would appreciate solutions that aren't going to risk information loss.

Update: I've recently discovered two other changes since the updates. When playing videos on Windows Movie Player the video turns some sort of negative until I move the mouse. Then it either stays gone or can come back randomly. Also, my screensaver works (which I'm not saying is a bad thing), but it didn't use to turn-on unless I did it manually.

I didn't realize. I assume you mean my sound card, right? It's a Soundblaster ZxR by CreativeLabs.

I realize I can uninstall the updates from the past few days, but I'm nervous that I'll screw up my system more than it is. My computer was running 100% perfectly before this update though so... I don't know.

Additionally, the smaller updates may not be the cause. I did this large restart/system wide update on Saturday when these problems began. Is that an update to a new "build"?
