Installed amd a10 7870k but boot goes to blank screen with error 99 on the bottom

I just installed a new processor and my pc turns on and the keyboard and mouse boot up aswell. My pc is a blank screen with the number 99 on the bottom. What is the problem? I am very confident that I installed the cpu properly. My Motherboard is an MSI A78m-E35.

No I didn't do you think that's the problem? If it is how would I reset the bios.

Actually I did look through the CPU support list again and they do not have this CPU listed.

Any A10 should work if one does.

No CountMike, a lot of the out of the box bios out there do not support the latest APU's. They stop at the 7700K series. You need to reflash the bios to get it to run the 7870K.
