I just put an SSD into my PC and installed windows to it (Disconnected my HDD to avoid losing things)

I then plugged my HDD back in and set SSD to boot priority. When I get to my desktop, I can see both drives and all files on them, but I can't use anything on my old HDD without moving it to my SSD, so my PC is essentially acting like the files I have on my HDD don't exist. Do I need to for example uninstall all my games on the HDD and then install them again on the same HDD or can I access them somehow on my new OS. Any help is appreciated, let me know if you need any more information.

Hi! Thanks for the answer. When I go to the place that you suggested, none of the games show up. It shows that 0gb of the data is occupied by games and 860gb by "other" even though I should have games installed on this exact hdd.
"the place"

What place is that?
You need to locate the original folder where these games were installed.

Possibly X:/Program Files (x86)/Steam.....
X = whatever the drive letter the old drive now has.
Files, applications, games.
3 different things.

Applications WILL need to be installed with the new OS.
This includes things like the Steam or Origin client

Games, if they are from Steam, can used, once you tell the new Steam client where they are.

Files can be used, but you may run into permissions issues.

Steam games location
In the steam client:
Steam
Settings
Downloads
Steam Library Folders
Add library folder

To move an already installed game
Games library
Right click the game
Properties
Local Files
Move Install Folder
