Hi guys i just stallled a new asus motherboard in my brothers tower,i connected the big blue cable (usb 3.0) but for some reason none of the usb 3.0 and the standard usb dont work either.any ideas?

Hey there, @Jake!

I'd recommend you go to Device Manager and check if you have installed any USB 3.0 Hub controller drivers for your new mobo. Even if there are some USB 3.0 drivers, I'd advise you to double check and manually install them from the motherboard manufacturer's official website. You should be able to find your mobo model there and see all the available downloads and drivers compatible with your OS version.

I'd also suggest checking with multiple USB 3.0 compatible devices and swap them between the USB 3.0 ports to see if something will get recognized properly afterwards.

Keep me posted & Good luck! :)

Hey there again, Jake!

I'd suggest you try plugging the keyboard in multiple USB ports, including the front panel USB headers. It looks like you have the USB ports disabled from the BIOS and you need to configure these settings from there.
Another thing you should check is if you have a PS/2 port on the motherboard for a keyboard/mouse. If you do, I'd recommend finding any PS/2 keyboard and attempt to boot into BIOS with it to enable the USB ports.

Hope that works.

Also i cant see any usb cables to connect into the motherboard other then the big blue 3.0 cable.with my other pc i had the big blue cable for 3.0 then 2 pther usb connections on the motherboard

can you get into bios with the DirectKey button on your motherboard? (read manual if you don´t know where it is and how it works)

any q-code and or q-led debug codes visible while powering on?

remove the 3rd Ram module (which is not red) from slot dimm_B2 and if installed the dimm_A2 too.
which brand and model are the RAMs made of?

Graphics card PCI-E power connectors: Are both 6pin plugs connected?
