Installed cpu fan wrong?

Hey, this is my first build and just realized I messed up the cpu fan installation (Ik, it was dumb). I think the fan should be facing towards the front of the case, right? Will the current fan setup screw something up? Is it worth changing the whole cpu fan, thermal paste, etc. or am I overthinking it? take a screenshot

The proper way to mount the 212 evo is the heatsink going the opposite direction you have it and the fan blowing air through the heatsink towards the rear fan.

However you can also leave as it is if you don't want to move it and change the fan to the other side so it's pushing the air towards the top of the case

@Inverse does the side that has the fan take in the air and the side that does not have the fan push out the air, or is it the opposite? Would there be a big temp. Difference to what I have right now and if I removed it and installed it again correctly?

I'm not sure which way you have installed the fan, there is usually arrows on the fan showing which way the air is blowing. You would want the fan blowing air through the heatsink and out the top exhaust in your current mounting position.

If you have front intake fans the cooler should blow towards the back of the case. Airflow should be moving from the front of the case to the back on its way out. The cooler will help the hot air go through the exhaust at the back and improve your temperatures.

So it's up to you if you want to change it's position.

I have open vents on the top of my case, so he could move the fan to the bottom part of the heatsink and have it blow up through the heatsink.

There several different ways to install parts, but here is what I do (usually):

* Install RAM into the Mobo.
* Install the CPU and CPU HSF.
* Install back I/O plate into the case.
* Install Mobo into the case.
* Install the front panel wires (Front USB, Audio, reset button, power button, etc.)
* Install HD's/SSD's into the case.
* Install the PSU.
* Install the GPU.
* Run/route the power cables for all of the parts.

It all depends on what you prefer and what works best for you.

Right.
Either UP or BACK.
Not down as it appears to be.

The little L shaped thing that is currently unconnected needs a SATA data cable.
This goes to a SATA port on the motherboard.

Try to run as many cables as you can through the rubber grommets on your case behind your motherboard

Right.
The hard drive needs 2 cables. 1 for power that comes from the PSU. You already have that connected.
The other is the data cable, that connects to a SATA port on the motherboard. You do NOT have that currently connected.

You also need the one on the right

You need to use a sata data cable for that part, some should of come with your motherboard. The one you're referring to is the sata power cable which you have already installed. Just need to install the other one now.

I had my Hyper heatsink the same as you'res for months before i thought about this i only changed it last week and to be honest it didn't make much of a difference although blowing hot air on the video card cant have been good now its fine change it if you can be bothered if not don't worry too much about this
