I've just installed an MSI GTX 960 into my motherboard (Gigabyte ga-f2a78m-ds2) and for some reason there's just no screen on at all. The light on the graphics card light up MSI and the fans spin for a few seconds before stopping. I've tried using a VGA cable into the motherboard and the same cable with a DVI converter into the graphics card aswell as HDMI on GFX. As soon as I unplug my GFX everything works again, any help?

One thing is though is that the motherboards GFX install clip is kind of damaged from the people who built the PC:

Did you install the current Nvidia graphics driver for your card?

If so, have you started up from cold with just the GTX connected?

Fans spinning and stopping is of no concern; it will do that at startup and then go to the lowest state needed to maintain temps. With little load on the GPU, this makes sense.

For the damage though.....I can't tell exactly what's damaged. Can you take another pic with the card removed?

Can't really get a picture now but it's the part where the GFX slots into the motherboard, it's bent although the graphics card still powers up and shows the lights on it etc.

Also Ye I just inserted the card and booted it up, no drivers installed and it just shows no screen
