Installed new CPU and RAM only works in single channel

Hi all!

Recently I bought a used i7-4790, installed it and my MoBo doesn't recognize my RAM in slot 1-3, nor in slot 2-4. It can only reach BIOS, when I use channel B (B1 & B2 slots). It is strange, because I always used it in A1 & B1. Windows boots up and I can play, but only in single channel. Maybe I installed my CPU wrong?
I've updated BIOS to the latest version this week (ver. 2702) and still no luck. RAM timings are on stock DDR3-1600 CL9-10-9 @1.5V due to H97 chipset's limitation.
I've already cleared CMOS and pulled out MoBo battery, but still being on single channel, any suggestions?
Thanks!

Specs:
- ASUS H97M-E (BIOS version: 2702) XMP is disabled by default
- i7-4790
- Kingston HyperX Fury Black DDR3-1866MHz 2x8 GB (Not in kit) HX318C10FB/8 x 2
- Video card I think, does not matter in this case

Best bet is you bent a pin on the motherboard during your cpu replacement. Or you got a used cpu that had issues someone dumped on you.

Either way you'll likely never see a difference in performance with single channel unless you do lots of editing/compressing files

Thanks, I will check the CPU's pins. I only use it for gaming. However, I saw multiple videos that showed big performance difference between single and dual channel RAM usage.

Too many variables to simply say dual gives better performance than single, in some cases dual can actually be worse. You might like to read this:

Interesting test and the result made me calm down a little bit. Thanks!
