I've recently upgraded from an i5 4570, to an i7 4790. After putting the PC back together, the PC turns on, motherboard light comes and and fans are working, but nothing is showing on either of my monitors. Previously, when I started up my PC, it would make a 'beep' sound which isn't there anymore.
Currently on 8GB Ram, Asus H87m-e MB and GTX 970.

Solution
You must update the bios on the motherboard.

"*Before using the new Intel 4th Gen Core processors, we suggest that you first download the BIOS updater for new Intel 4th Gen Core Processors and then update the BIOS using this tool."

Go to the motherboard page, download the bios updater, and update your bios. If you cant, then reinstall your 4570, update the bios, THEN reinstall the 4790.

Tried this, but it still doesn't work with the new I7. I've checked and the motherboard is compatible with the CPU, and I've installed the new BIOS that is recommended, but still nothing when I boot. It works perfectly with the i5.
