Hello, i recently installed a new video card on to my machine and it was working perfectly, installed new drivers restarted the comp and it was fine but then played a game and i noticed it running smooth and then started to get choppy and then boom, computer turns off and i cant turn it back on,

i think it may be the power supply as i opened the computer and removed the card as i guessed the computer didn't have enough power to handle the new graphics card and it still did not turn on.

and when i plug in the cable for my psu the motherboard shows a power light and so does the graphics card, but when i try to power on the psu does nothing the fan doesn't even move a tiny bit.

the psu i am using is a cheap one so i guess its past its life span but i wanted to know if anyone else has had this and also wanted to know the chances that it is just the power supply that is broken and not any other component, and i have tried to start the computer from a cold start and still does nothing as i have read through a lot of posts on this forum regarding this type of issue.

any help would be appreciated thank you :)

Amd fx6000 bulldozer, Asus M5A the full name of the specs 500gb hard drive 8gb 2x4gb ballistic sport memory or something around those lines and the graphics card I installed was the Asus R9 270 and my power supply was a 600w PSU from eBay for your £19 so I can't expect it to of been from someone like corsair sorry I can't provide more precise information about my system.
