installed new HDD

i installed a new WD green HDD and activated with the Disk management, but there it says it has a capacity of 400MB, and yet the HDD i installed has a capacity of 2TB, thank you for any assistance

i currently have a ASRock Anniversary Motherboard and windows 10

Please can you post a picture of disk management?

Try right clicking the drive and formatting it as NTFS, using all available space.

it is in NTFS, and when i do click format i get a message saying *Windows Cannot Format the system Partition on this disk*

So when you click that big black 'unallocated' space, Windows shows an error? Please can you post an image of that happening?

Unallocated means it isn't formatted it. You need to right click it and format as NTFS.

Nevermind i figured it out, i was clicking on the wrong bar, it works fine now
