Installed New i3 7100 and everything is running slow?

Hello,

this is my first time posting so sorry if i miss anything.

I upgraded my cpu last night from a g4400 to a i3 7100 and everything is running REALLY slow, i even went on a benchmark website and it said my pc was under performing.

I was getting around 30 fps on csgo alone.

Could anyone help please? my pc parts will be listed underneath.

CPU: i3 7100
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950
MotherBoard: G1 sniper b7
2x 4gb ddr4 ram.
tr2 challenger 500w

Hard to say what it is. I'd say update the bios but if you didn't do that you'd be sitting at a black screen as the i3-7100 requires a bios update. Did you do a clean install on your GPU drivers? Verify hyperthreading is enabled?

Nope, already updated the bios.

With the gpu drivers, no i didnt do that ill give that a shot.

and ill check to see if that is enabled.
