I have 3 monitors, a 1080, 1440, and now a 4k monitor. Immediately upon installing the 4k monitor I noticed the fans were running louder and pulled up GPU tweak to see speeds and saw that the temps were 15 degrees higher and it was at 1240 out of 1600hz operating usage. Though Task Manager shows GPU usage at 0% (which clearly isn't the case as the temps and everything keep increasing)
Any thoughts on this? Using a 1080 TI.

Monitors in megapixels:
1080p == 2Mp
1440p == (assuming 2560x1440) == 3.6Mp
4K == 8.3Mp
Adding that 4K monitor more than doubled the number of pixels that your graphics card has to keep refreshed.
