I recently purchased a new PSU. Upon hooking everything back up and starting my HTPC it would not load windows. It goes into the Startup Recovery Option but does not list an Operating System. I do not know which Drivers to select in order to go that route. I do not have a recovery disk with me. When I select Windows Repair from the new set of options it scans and says I do not have a hard drive.

My issue with that is when I go into ROM Utilities it shows all 4 of my hard drives as well as my DVD drive. I tried even putting back in my old PSU but receive the same messages. I know a little about computers but am at a loss here. I have cleaned out the inside of my HTPC Case, unplugged and plugged back in everything a few times but still can not get Windows to load.

I have been receiving during initial bootup when ROM Utilities is running both drives are flashing critical, however Windows would still load fine and everything worked. I have (4) 2TB HD's with RAID 5. One 'Drive' is set at 500G (My C:/ drive) and the rest (around 5.5TB) is my Media Drive. Please please please someone help me figure this one out.

Hi

I hope you did not disconnect the SATA data cables from the hard drives
or if you did disconnect them you re connected the data cables to the correct drives.

If you have a spare PC you could remove the drives one at a time to the spare PC and run disk diagnostics
such as the Western Digital Data LifeGuard Diagnostics - WinDlg (DLGDIAG for Windows)

Dont try to boot up the problem PC until you know whether the problem is a faulty hard disk or logical corruption in the RAID layout

Sorry I don't have experience in repairing SATA RAID

best of luck
