Hello,

I've browsed dozens of threads on here about this issue but none of the solutions have helped me. I just upgraded from 2x4GB RAM to 2x8GB, and my computer is freezing after a few minutes of playing a video game/browsing the web (specifically, google chrome which i know is RAM intensive).

specs that may be helpful to know:

CPU: Intel i7

Motherboard: Asus ASROCK h81m-hds

GPU: Asus GTX 1060

RAM: 2x8GB Ballistix Sport DDR3 1600 1.5V

OS: Windows 10

Here's where I'm at so far:
1.) Both sticks are definitely set properly in the motherboard

2.) I have upgraded the BIOS to the latest version

3.) All 16GB memory is detected in BIOS, and windows memory diagnostic tool reported no
problems

4.) I have double checked that the RAM is compatible with my motherboard

5.) I have double checked the BIOS is set to allocate proper voltage (both "auto" and hardset at 1.5v)

6.) I have changed the Command Rate from 1T to 2T

The computer runs fine when i go back to the 2x4GB. What else can I do to troubleshoot this? I have not unplugged all auxiliaries and let it run for a while. Would that actually help? Was my part broken out of the box? What would happen if I allocated more voltage?

Thanks in advance!
