[SOLVED] Installed new z390 and cpu, nothing showing on screen

Hi guys!
Recently upgraded from a z290 to a z390 in order to change replace my processor (i7-7700k to an i9-9900k), as my old mobo wouldn't support it. However when I turn it on, there is just nothing happening on screen. The computer seems to running just fine, all the fans are going at normal speeds, the mobo & gpu lights up, but the screen just says "no input signal". I've tried rebooting, changing cables, using different ports, connecting via the GPU and mobo HMDI and DP ports, but to no avail.

Please note that this is my second ever build, and I am not really a hardware guy, so I've included two pictures of it in case you can spot something obvious. Also, there is a display on the mobo in the top right corner that says "FE", maybe that has something to do with it?

CPU: i9-9900k
MBO: Asus Maximus XI, z390 chipset
RAM: 16gb DDR4 2.4ghz
PSU: 750w Corsair
GPU: RTX 2080 Ti

for error fe most of the people have the problem with ram make sure it is place in the proper dim slots, and make sure you hear the click sound check your guide to help you

^ re-seat the ram, gpu, and all power connectors on the motherboard and gpu.

Hi

simplify system
carefully remove GPU (RTX 2080 Ti)
if 16GB RAM is 2 x 8GB remove one

remove any hard disk , DVD or SSD drives including M2 SSD

Then you can be sure where any video signal will come from (motherboard)

reset cmos memory using jumper or clr cmos button

try again
