Installed New Z97 and i5-4690k Won't Post

I just replaced my motherboard with a new Asus z97-ar and bought a new 4690k cpu to accompany it. System will start but no feed to the monitor. I have a Kingwin ABT 750mm psu. I've tried removing and resetting the cpu. I've tried removing and replacing the gpu. Unplugging and re plugging the 24pin and 8 pin(two 4 pins) from the motherboard. I've even swapped monitors.

Have you tested without the graphics card?

I tried just plugging the hdmi directly into the motherboard. No dice. The motherboard seems to be drawing power because the heat sink fan is running but none of the case fans are running nor are the LEDS on my mouse

Try removing the graphics card.

Is there a led that stays red when starting the board (CPU, DRAM, or VGA)?

No. There is a green led that's Labeled EZ XMP that stays green

It looks ok. When starting the board, what is the succession of leds getting on and then off?

The only LED is the EZ XMP one

The board has q-leds and they should go on and off (CPU, then DRAM, then VGA) when starting the board. Does the CPU fan spin when starting the board?

The heatsink fans start up just fine. The case fans do not.

Try turning the PSU off, and then removing all cables from the motherboard, but the 24, 8 pin power cables, CPU fan and the case power button. No other USB or front panel cables.
Re-seat the 24 pin power connector.
Remove the RAMs. Start the board and see if the DRAM led stays red.

Look at the sticker on the mobo are the last 4 numbers 1008 or higher. It needs BIOS 1008 to support that CPU

The dram led isn't on at all

Then it seems that the board does not work. Is it new?

Try testing it outside the case, for ruling out a short.

Even outside of the case, the dram led won't light up. I removed everything and still no luck. Could it be because the board isn't getting power? Or is the Board itself faulty?

So what are the last 4 numbers on this sticker?

2205. The bios is not the issue. The board is brand new. It wouldn't be that far out of date.

I didnt say it was but it can be. Just because its brand new, doesnt mean its got the right BIOS on it

Right but even without the proper bios, the dram Led should be lighting up. Even if it's just red

Try different power supply, if possible. If not, I suggest contacting the retailer and returning the motherboard.
