Question Installed the wrong version of Windows. Do I have to start from scratch?

Essentially, I recently built a new computer and so I pulled the product key from the system, and downloaded a copy of windows. What I didn’t realize was that I downloaded the wrong one. So I ended up installing windows 10 pro when I needed windows 10 enterprise. And it didn’t tell me when I installed that the key was invalid and just let me continue on. But when I was looking through some things and told me that windows was in active. so I guess I am just curious if there is a way to change it without having to completely reinstall Windows enterprise. From what I read I thought it said you could just use the product key at the change product key section but it says that key isn’t for that version of windows.

Should be no need for a reinstall as Enterprise is an upgrade path from Pro. Its just a matter of putting code in and it becomes Enterprise.

Its possible contacting Microsoft could fix it as they can fix it from their end.
