Installed USB Dual Band wireless Adapter - now cannot connect to network at all

I installed an Aukey AC600 dual band wireless USB adapter so I could take advantage of my new 5GB network, which my native WIFI did not support.

Install seemed to be successful with the CD included, but I was unable to connect to the 5GB network.

When I rebooted I was unable to connect to networks at all. I am unable to see any networks. Sometimes the WiFi shows a network named SoftAP-85 as a known network, but this is a name that never came up before today,

To add insult to injury, I am unable to uninstall the software as it fails with error number 0x80040707 - DLL function call crashed: ICSDHCP.ICSDHCP_DisableICS.

Also, after startup I usually get an error from module Apui (part of the install): External exception 6BE.
I also get an Access violation at address 10050717 in module 'RaAPAPI.dll' Read of address 00000000

Currently I am generally unable to connect to networks at all. When I diagnose through Network Diagnostics I get several errors:

DHCP is not enable for 'Wi-Fi'
Problem with wireless adapter or access point - Reset the wireless adapter
Investigate router or access point issues (this is not really the issue - the router is fine)

So I can't connect and can't uninstall. I don;t know who to ask. I've tried resetting my network adapters twice, does not help. And numerous troubleshooting with little help.

Any ideas? I don;t have a system backup.

I really can not understand why people buy all this no name brand junk. You find the same device with 100 difference company names stamped on them.

Part of the reason you pay a little extra for devices from better known companies is you can get support when they do not work or at least the problems will be common so you will find others on the internet who have solved the problem.

Since you will get no support from the company that sells this you are pretty much on your own. You can try to download the drivers from the chipset manufacture directly. I think that device uses RTL8811AU but you will need to verify. It should say in one of the network property settings.

Thanks, Bill. Dunce cap firmly in place. Actually am getting answers from the company so we'll see - and they did send me their Windows 10 driver.

Five folders were installed with the installation, and as I said, I can't uninstall the product. If they don;t help further, I was thinking of deleting the five folders and issuing a Network Adapter Reset from the Control Panel (which I've done twice without success). Any reason to think that might work?
