Installed Vista on clean hard and no internet

Installed windows vista from the backup disks that came with the computer. However no other driver disks came with it. Once I Installed vista the computer doesnt see my modem and thus can't connect to the internet to download the drivers it needs. I am using a Intel (R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8200 and running a 64 bit windows vista. Please help me find the drivers I need in order for my internet to work again. Thanks in advance!

I presume your "modem" is external to your PC? and you are connecting to it via an Ethernet connection? or you mean some kind of modem on your motherboard and you using some kind of dial up?
So... knowing your motherboard would be good.. with confirmation of how you connecting... so we know we are trying to help with a modem driver or an Ethernet network adaptor..

Yes The modem is external its a modem and router in one device. In deed I am connecting it via an Ethernet cable.

ITs like your motherboard disappeared from the internet, the closest thing i can find is this :

Try the drivers who knows ...

If that didnt work try to install Windows 7 or fall back to windows XP, windows 7 have more drivers intergerated and that may help
