so i recently got a ssd and installed windows 10 onto it and while i was doing all of that i had my previous drives unplugged with the intention to just plug it back in afterwards. and now when i plug them i see the drives on "this pc" and i can open the drives and open files but when i go to the search bar or anywhere else its like things like steam or discord dont exist and i have to reinstall them onto my ssd. is there anyway to idk "sync" my old drives or something

i had a feeling but i was hoping i wouldnt have to lol. thanks
When an application is installed, there are dozens (sometimes thousands) of entries in the Registry and elsewhere.
The new OS and its Registry knows nothing about these.
(and no, you can't import the old Reg into the new OS)

Some applications can be run from any location, but it's best to assume reinstall.
