Installed windows 7 on SSD and it wont pickup my recording

I recently installed windows 7 on my SSD hard drive since I used to use 8.1 on my HDD. My headset would pick my voice up in 8.1 but now it wont in 7 and I just don't get why it won't work in one OS and not the other.

Did you make sure to install all the necessary audio drivers.

did you reinstall all the motherboard driver for your motherboard for the os you use .
