Installed windows 8.1 on SSD , but still cannot boot into it ?

I installed an SSD using caddy into my optical drive bay ,
Both the internal harddisk and optical drive ports are the same one SATA III
My harddrive has windows 10 ,
I installed windows 8.1 pro on my SSD , after the windows 8.1 installation i try to boot into it using boot options but still it loads the windows 10 from the harddisk i dunno why ?
I have set the SSD above the hdd in boot priority order .

Not possible to boot from caddy. Lol. Let me know if you get it to work. I researched it a bit and never got it working

Well you are right actually , the problem is i want to replace my hdd with the ssd but i can't because i cant get 2 screws on the hdd bracket out.

Actually you are right , i booted into the ssd but just once , i think i will have to somehow replace the hdd with ssd and put the hdd in the optical drive bay using a caddy
