Just replaced a core2due e8400 with xeon e5450. Now at every start up a message comes saying that new processor detected and a bios upgrade is recommended.
I have already updated BIOS, did this before replacing the cpu.
I guess the system wasn't properly powered down before installing the new processor because when i tried first boot with new processor it failed to boot. second time it said, failed to resume.
Now the pc works fine and has good performance over core2due But the "warning' delays the startup by 10 seconds and it ruins the experience.
How can i correct it?
Asus p5g41t-m lx3 mobo, win7.
Thank you.
