i want to add a drain near or on the pump. i have a ek xres 140 revo d5 pump combo unit. I'm going out the pump into the cpu out the cpu into the radiator out the radiator into the top of the pump attach a drain at the in of the pump is this possible would it affect my loop or will it not ? any help will be appreciated .

First things...please try to use a bit of punctuation, it is very difficult to follow even this short post.

But, I am following you and your placement is fine for the drain...it is where I would put it, on the return line as it enters the pump inlet.

And no, this isn't going to impact performance at all.

Loop order truly doesn't matter as long as the pump itself isn't allowed to pull air into the cooling loop, which usually means the reservoir feeds the pump inlet at a location where air isn't accessible. Otherwise, loop order has no impact on cooling temps.

Flow rate can have a direct impact on temps, though, so you will certainly want to limit restrictive bends, excessive use of fittings and making sure coolant has as good as flow as it possibly can be.
