Are these the right steps for installing a new one? Old: AMD new: NVIDIA
1. Go to control panel and uninstall AMD Catalyst Control Centre.
2. Remove old GPU
3. Put in new GPU

When I turn on the computer what will happen since I don't have any drivers for the GPU?
Do I have to uninstall anything else?

Solution
you got the basics. when uninstalling the CCC, make sure to chose the option to uninstall everything including drivers.

as for what will happen, windows will take a longer then normal to boot, and when it finishes it's boot sequence it will have either old nvidia drivers installed from windows update or some generic VGA drivers installed for the card. either way you can install the nvidia drivers right over it.
