Installing a new Hard drive

Hi guys just about to buy a new hard drive for my computer but just want to know if it will be compatible and if i have it right, My current hard drive is a SATA II and the new one i'm going to be is a SATA II is there anything that needs to be compatible?

Any Sata drive should work. Some older motherboards have trouble detecting large HDD's (2tb) so make sure you have the most upto date bios.

Thanks my BIOS is upto date and i will only be pruchasing a maximum of 1.5tb, Many thanks!

Just in case you didn't know, the new drive will need to be partitioned and formatted before you can see it in Explorer.

Is this easy to do so after i plug in the SATA cable then boot the comp up what should i do next?
