install OEM disk of w10 on an HP w7 laptop-ive deleted everything I can on the old w7 HP laptop -can I put in the w10 disk and just install it? thanx.

Yes. Just put in the new windows 10 disk and select the drive you want to install it on. It may make a few partitions and it will complete the install.

You should first make sure the drive has been wiped clean. SSDs are easy and only require Secure Erase which takes just a few seconds to complete. HDDs are a bit more complicated and will take longer to wipe. You could just install the OS onto the drive without wiping, but it isn't as clean of an installation.
