Installing a new power supply with old cables

So I plan on buying a new power supply for my computer. But the cables running from my old PSU are neatly managed that it seems impossible to remove all of them and replace them with the new cables. Now if I were to just keep the old cables running from all the components and simply install the new PSU would I be able to run the old cables into the new PSU with no issues? Or would I be forced to use the updated cables I got with the PSU? Kinda a dumb question but i'm not very tech savy. Thanks!

Solution
Are you using a modular power supply and will you be replacing it with an exact, if not I would say take the time to replace the cables. Also if its not modular then you can't really keep the existing wiring.
