Question Installing a nVidia TESLA K40 GPU along side a EVGA GTX 1080 on a PC

Hi,
Setup details: Asus X99 Deluxe motherboard (LGA2011-3) with a Intel Xeon E5-1650 v3. and a EVGA GTX 1080 FTW (on PCIe x16_1).
When I tried to install an old nVidia TESLA K40 GPU (on PCIe x16_3), I'm getting no POST. Any suggestions?

Hi, shot in the dark here but since I assume the system is fine before you install the old card and I do not know your full system specs, I'm wondering if the power supply is insufficient?

I have a evga G2 1000w psu. So I'm sure that has enough power to supply for both the gpu's.
