Question Installing an HBA without using a PCIe port ?

I was wondering if it is possible to install an HBA without using a PCIe port ?

Motherboard has two x1 ports and one x16 port but I use it for my graphics card because my processor does not have integrated graphics. I am trying to run about 10 SAS drives if that helps any.
