Hello,
I know this question is probably asked weekly on this Forum but I plan on buying an 250GB SSD.
I have two 1TB Harddrives both half full, my C Drive has Windows 7 on it. Ive heard some SSD's come with CD's to magically copy the data from your Harddrive to your SSD but does that mean it will put Windows and Windows only on the SSD or does it move ALL the data of my C Drive over ?
I just want a no stress way of getting my Windows 7 to my SSD and not worry about loosing files or having to delete files of my C Drive.
:)

You will need those drivers. You will not be "trashing" it.

Windows.old is for returning to a previous installation of Windows. In your case you're not installing anything, you're copying everything from one drive to another.

As long as your C drive does not exceed 250GB in used space you will be fine. Simply clone your C drive that has Windows 7 onto the SSD. It will bring everything, Windows + files. The other HDD can remain as it is, you do not need touch it. There are multiple steps after this.

I use Macrium Reflect.

I want to use my SSD for Windows and a few games, I dont want to trash it full with sound and graphics drivers that are on my C: HDD.
Can i just install Windows and have an Windows.old folder on my C: drive ? Something along those lines happend back when i had to reinstall Windows XP on my old rig.
