I have Windows X installed accidently on my main 4
TB drive on my new build - everything is runnin great - but added my intended 250GB SSD and I want to put Windows on there and boot off of that correct ? The idea is the SDD is for programs and Windows and the main drive storage ? How do I go about installing on the SSD and making that the primary drive for booting now ? Do I wipe the 4TB ?

Solution
is there data you need on the 4tb. if you do people thta make ccleaner have a free data recovery. if you dont need the data when you go into windows use windows disk tools to format and make it active.
unplug the main hard drive power or data cable. then boot from windows installer usb stick that you can make from the window media creation tool. wen you boot go into advance install make sure there no partions on the ssd if there is delete them and let windows make it own. after the installer reboots and your booting from the ssd. do all of the windows updates and then shut down and reconnect the hard drive. in windows use the disk management to wipe the hard drive.

Followed the steps - BUT when I went to wipe the drive in Disk Management - I accidently deleted the 4 TB volume - how do I get Windows to see it again ?
