I'm having an issue installing an ASUS PCE-N15 wireless card into my computer. PC is running fine without it (just built it a few days back).
Trying to figure out if the motherboard is the issue or if this card is dead.
Putting it into the 1xPCIE slot results in nothing showing up in the device manager when windows boots (can't even see the light at the back of the wifi card light up).
Decided to see if it's just the slot that's buggered, and stuck it in a longer PCIE slot instead.
At this point the PC doesn't even boot. The debug code on the motherboard gives a "15", which per the manual is "Problem related to memory. Please re-install the CPU and memory and then clear CMOS".
Fortunately, removing the wifi card and simply clearing the CMOS lets me boot again without issue.
Is this likely to be an issue with the motherboard of the wifi card?
spec:
I5 CPU
ASRock Z97 Extreme 4
Antec neo eco 520W PSU
No discrete GPU at the moment - so don't actually have any other PCIE cards I could slot in to see if they would work)
