A customer of mine wanted his hard drive to be wiped clean with a fresh install of Windows 10 however is hesitant to bring the whole system unit to my shop and he told me he will only bring his hard drive. Is there a way for me to install the drivers of his system using my PC?

Solution
if he does not want the data on his hardd drive he can use his own 8g usb stick and windows media creation tool and make his own windows boot iso. another thing you can do is get a list of his hardware and make the usb stick yourself and then make a folder called drivers and have all the drivers for his system in that folder on the usb stick.
NO... most drivers won't install if they don't see the hardware they are for.

You can install win 10 on the hdd in another PC but what about activation of the license? Most licenses are tied to either an email address or Motherboard. If its linked to email address, it could match the current PC to the licence on activation and really mess him up. If its tied to a motherboard it won't activate until its on his PC.

If you installed win 10 on a pc that already has a license, then MS may use that license to activate windows but as soon as he gets it home, it will deactivate as the details of his PC don't match yours

So drivers and windows can get messed up doing it the way he wants too.
