Hello, recently purchased a new ultrabook and i've been looking into a fresh install of windows on it, which i did. Unfortunatley it seems a bit sluggish, it has a 20GB ssd for caching. Did i do something wrong? I did not do a clean install. Is there something i should do for raid drives when installing windows? Thanks

If you mean you did an UPGRADE from say Vista or W7 to W8 and everything works but seems slightly slow your problem is probably a DRIVER issue.

An upgrade (keeping programs) actually does a clean install during the process but then moves the programs and files (in certain folders) back again. It does NOT however install additional drivers you may need for optimal performance.

*You need to specify exactly what you mean by "sluggish" though my best guess is you need to install the latest VIDEO DRIVERS (Intel, AMD, NVidia as appropriate.) because you're likely using default ones supplied by Windows.
