Installing Games on SSD or HDD is Faster ?

i need someone to clarify if this is true or not:

Downloading and installing a 20gb Game then Updating a 8.5gb Patch on a SSD is Faster then doing it on a Western Digital Green 1TB HDD ??

OR the speed of the download+Patching all depends on Internet Speed ?

Because I'm downloading Version 10 patch for Blade & Soul which is 8.5gb,
I'm in Australia Sydney downloading from North America and its taking a long time.
Once that's done then i have to download the game which is 20gb Sigh.

Probably not by much. The big bottleneck here is your internet connection; even the WD Green (as in moss, as in slow as.) is undoubtedly faster than your internet connection.

No fast storage is going to entice your ISP to go faster. You get what you paid (and often less!).
