Installing graphics drivers

Solution
yeah... no. dont install that crap. the nvidia drivers already come with the geforce experience that does the same "auto configure" your game settings if you choose. i personally uninstall geforce experience though. msi afterburner is all you need for overclocking and monitoring your graphics card. looks like msi has a game recording app as well, somewhat useless since the nvidia drivers can do that as well.

all you need is the latast game ready drivers and msi afterburner.
the difference are having known bugs, driver issues, and up to date gaming optimizations for your card. though if you are not having issues with your current driver, you have not purchased any newer games that came out after your current driver revision, and there haven't been any performance improvements in games you own in the drivers after your current revision, then you can skip them if you would like.

How about the extra stuff that the MSI has thats suppose to be on the card or what ever, wont I need to go to their site instead of nvidias. Im just a little confused because this card has a bunch of cool extras on it that the normal 970 doesn't have

mostly the ram and the power supply(junk) you had picked out were horribly overpriced. that squeezed in the 6700k and a cheap z170 board. if you are not going to overclock then you could skip all that and continue with an h170 or b150 board and the locked 6500 and save a good chunk of money. but you really should have at least a 250gb ssd in that build.

Your build is a lot better, I would go with this build but I already sent someone multiple updates and changes to my build itself so I dont want to send them another one because I just sent them one today
