Installing hp psc 950xi on windows xp

I'm unable install a HP PSC 950xi all-in-one printer on a Dell Vostro 200 running Windows XP Home version 2002 Service pack 3. The error message is - "Java Virtual Machine not found", and "not digitally assigned". I have the original CD for the printer, and I tried the downloaded version from the HP web site - N/G. Any clues?

Have you gone to the Java web page and tried looking for the Java Virtual Machine download ?

The install cd says it's compatible with Windows XP ?

Have you gone to the Dell support web page and sought help there for the Java Virtual Machine ?
