Hi everyone,

Installing the G10 on my MSI 780 Ti last night and noticed the 3 pin fan won’t fit into the graphics card, so I’m wondering, is there a way or an adapter I can get that will allow me to connect it to the GPU or am I meant to connect the fan to the motherboard? If so can I have the pump header for the H55 and the G10 fan going through a splitter into the same header and still control the fan of the G10? but Ideally I’d like it to connect to the gpu as i'd like to use MSI Afterburner to control the fan and I’m assuming I can’t do that if it goes through the mobo.

Thanks.

Thanks for the replies.

I'm just confused as the the correct method to install it, the instructions seem to suggest it goes on a fan header on the mobo, it even suggests using a splitter and plugging the pump into the same header but i wanted to make sure before i installed anything as ideally i'd like to use MSI Afterburner over the mobo to control the fan.

I've seen an adapter on new egg here
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812718002&cm_re=vga_to_pwm-_-12-718-002-_-Product&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=6146846&SID=162qve1za3skr
but i wanted to find it from somewhere more locally to me.

Basically i just want clarification on how to install it the correct way.
