[SOLVED] installing latest 19.10.0429 drivers on Asus Prime X470 Pro

Until now I've been a good Asus user and just using the drivers Asus publishes on their support site for my Asus Prime X470 Pro Mobo. The latest drivers they provide are 18.50.16.01, but AMD provide 19.10.0429. Seems like a massive difference, should I just install the latest AMD ones?

If I weren't having any issues, I would leave it alone.
I also wouldn't use AMD drivers on an ASUS MB unless I absolutely had to.

Perhaps Asus haven't updated their drivers in their site yet, 18.50.16.01 was suggested for 4602 BIOS as minimum which was a while ago and drivers listed on AMD site are much newer. Asus also gives their drivers slightly different numbers than those general drivers from AMD because they change them to suit their products.

OK. I just downloaded and installed 19.10.0429 with good results. Ryzen power plan did get reset but only in Minimum CPU category which I usually keep at 5%.
