i want to upgrade my gpu but i still dont know if my motherboard can handle it im running a 08HDPJ dell laptop and i want Geforce gt 980m as my gpu

You can't upgrade the Graphics of a laptop (usually). Also I was not able to find the model of your laptop by 08HDPJ.You might be better off buying a new laptop or getting a desktop pc.

Chances are the 08HDPJ your referencing is a service tag number (tho that didn't come up either). Either way, like EndlessZone said, you likely cant upgrade the internal GPU. There are some models that can do that, but they're rare. There is the option of running an external GPU, but your laptop would need a Thunderbolt 3 port to do it.
