I've just started my first build and I've gone for the NVIDIA GTX670 graphics card. My motherboard is a ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 and it's all going great so far.

My question is, which slot should I put my GTX670 in? I'm assuming I should put it in a PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot, but just to make sure, I'm gonna pose this question to you guys. The thing that's confusing my is the (PCIE3, Black) part. I have the choice between a PCI Express 3.0 x16 Slot (PCIE3, Black) or PCI Express 3.0 x16 Slot (PCIE2, Black). Would this make a difference?

the way your poll is worded is very confusing so disregard the vote for the PCI-e slot 3 and put it PCI-e slot 2. always put the GPU in the top PCI-e x16 slot on single GPU systems. Your Owners manual for the motherboard will tell you this also.

It doesn't. It just skips straight to 'How to SLI or Crossfire' which I found quite unhelpful. Many thanks for your response though. Appreciated.
