Question Installing my new ram

Hi. Just ordered a MSI Katana 15 with 12th gen i7 and RTX 4070 for $1159 at Newegg with it's free backpack promotion of this laptop. It's a steal!

I just got new Crucial 2x16 DDR5 4800 SODIMM RAM from MicroCenter for replacing the stock 2x8 DDR5 4000 SODIMM RAM.

Question is should I remove the screws on the battery and fully remove it too? Or does removing the wired connector is good enough?

Also do I need to change any settings after the ram change? Or is it as easy as remove old ram and install new ram, tah dah?

Disconnect the connector from the battery feeding into the motherboard, that should be enough. Press and hold the power button down as well for 30 seconds to drain any residual power on the laptop.
