Installing my ssd

Hi I am thinking about getting a Samsung EVO 860 2.5 inch however, when I plug it in do I have to screw it up or can I just leave it loose on the floor of my pc ?

It would be best to have it secured in the proper bay in your case.

No moving parts to get damaged but screwing it to metal brackets helps them stay cooler. Heat is their worst enemy.
