So I’m upgrading / replacing my i5 6500 / msi h110 mobo to ryzen 2600x b450 am4

And since it’s my first time upgrading/changing
the hardware I’m going to need to ask some help from you guys

1. Do I just go to recovery and just reformat everything, take out my current cpu+mobo and put the new one ?

2. Do I need to do some uninstalling on some of my hardware ?

I just need some tips and answers to these, I’m not planning to keep anything from inside my pc like my games, I can just redownload it. I want it to be fresh and clean from the start.

You don't have to do anything asides backup whatever data you want to keep.

If you install the OS on your HDD -> your HDD will be wiped and your SSD will be untouched.
If you install the OS on your SSD -> your SSD will be wiped and your HDD will be untouched.

Install OS after changing components.
