Installing new HDD, does not show in disk management?

Specs Case: NZXT Guardian 921RB
Ram: 16gb Ripjaws
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 R2.0
Processor: Amd FX 8120 Eight core 3.10GHz
Power Supply: Corsair CX500
OS: 64 Bit Windows 10
Cooling: 2 80mm fans, 1 120mm liquid cooled fan
HDD: Seagate 1tb

Bought a new 3tb WD drive and i need to format it and install windows 10 on it. Im basically just wanting to switch over from the 1 tb to the 3tb but i want to fresh install the 3tb. The 3tb hdd shows up in the bios settings but will not show up in disk management. So far ive tried different sata cables and ports on the mobo to no avail. i cant find any forums or anything on the disk not showing up at all in the manager just that people have the unknown one.

Go to Device Manager and see, if the disk shows up there and if there are no yellow exclamation marks.

no just the 1 tb hdd nothing else in device manager under disk drives
