Hi to all
I have a system with mobo Gigabyte GA-G41MT-S2PT with E8400 and 2x2GB Corsair XMS3
I tried to install a second hand memory kit 2x4GB HyperX Genesis but the system doesnt boot even not beeping. I just can hear funs working and after 10-15 secs reboots and the same.
My kit has 1600Mhz max and 9-9-9-24 at 1.65Volt but my mobo has max 1333oc so i guess thats why bios reports 1.5v.
HyperX also 1600 at 1.65v but i think is 9-9-9-27 and is tested and working fine
I tried to change values in BIOS to match HyperX but nothing

Do you think tha i need to reset BIOS in order to make it work? Some other proposals

AS I recall, the G41 chipset was really picky when it came to RAM. It wouldn't work with most of the DDR3 RAM I had on hand. I had to buy a certain type of DDR3, but it's been so long I can't remember. Best to go with RAM on a support list.

I found this: The G41 Express chipset has an obscure limitation which requires the use of dual-rank memory modules, which are typically double-sided, to attain 8 GB of memory.
