installing new motherboard, cpu ram and SSD, can I install current HDD later to keep all my files

I'm looking to install a whole new Mobo, Cpu, Ram and SSD. My current build is broken and I don't want to lose my files on my current HDD.

Am I able to install windows 10 on the SSD, then later plug in my old HDD to revive my files? my old drive was windows 10 too.
