ok so recently one of my two hard drives had died on me and I had sent it out for RMA. I had quite a few programs installed on it and windows won't let me uninstall anything from it because it can't find it obviously. When I try and install and new program for some reason they are defaulting to my old hard drive and not letting me change the install location. I'm not sure if when I get the new hard drive it will still be ( E: ) in windows but if not I will still have the same issue.
So my question is this: how do I get windows to forget about this old hard drive. There is no partition for it on windows from what I can tell. Is there something in the registry that needs to be deleted? Any help would be great
